Hosting a Hassel Free Super Bowl Party

It’s almost time for the Super Bowl y’all! GO PANTHERS! Are you ready to host your party this Sunday? If you are, kudos to you for being a great planner! If you’re like me, you typically wait until the last minute to pull it all together. Hey, I’m a busy girl! I love hosting parties but they can be stressful! This year, I decided to keep things simple and focus on what’s most important – friends and family. Keep reading to get some helpful tips on hosting a hassle free Super Bowl party!

Once you have decided to host a party, it’s time to invite your friends and family! Keep things simple by sending out an electronic invite via email, text message, or social media. Printing invitations is a nice touch but who has time for that these days? I chose to create an event invite through Facebook this year. The process was simple and the RSVP process was easy for everyone.

Next on my list for planning a party is food! Don’t overwhelm yourself. This is not the time to fretfully try new recipes. Choose a few tried and true recipes that are easy to make or that you simply enjoy making. The rest can be purchased from your local grocer deli. Accept friend’s offers to bring something! They wouldn’t have offered if they didn’t want to help. Besides, there’s always room for another appetizer at a football party! My menu will consist of several dips with a variety of chips, crackers and vegetables. I will also have a crock-pot of pork BBQ on hand to make sandwiches. I will count on the deli for buffalo wings, coleslaw and a few chicken tenders for the kids. Dessert will be “Bronco Bait” which is simply s’mores freshly toasted over our fire-pit outside.

Now for my favorite part, the beverages! What better way to honor your Charlotte Panthers than by serving local NC beer? Here we have a selection of draft beer served in growlers. Growlers can be purchased from Vintner’s Hill for $4 and be filled for $14 with our Super Bowl special (or bring in your own to have filled). Whether you serve growlers or bottled beer or wine, serving a selection is important. Also be sure to have a few options of non-alcoholic drinks. Kids appreciate when you include them and provide a special drink they can enjoy too. Coca-Cola in glass bottles or juice boxes are a favorite at our parties. Follow our FaceBook page to find our other Super Bowl specials.

Speaking of children, it’s a good idea to have activities planned for the little ones who might not be as interested in the game (your guests will thank you!). It can be as simple as leaving out a stack of board games and coloring pages. Check out Pinterest if you are a little more adventurous. You’re bound to be overwhelmed with quick DIY ideas like these free printable Super Bowl Bingo Cards.

Adults like games too! Traditional football pools are fun (especially if you are a winner!) or you can change things up a bit by having your guests guess the final score. Have them write down their guess on sticker name tags. This is sure to bring up conversations as guests talk about why they chose their score. We are handing out some inexpensive Super Bowl 50 memorabilia as prizes. Let’s not forget about the commercials! They seem to get as much hype as the big game itself! Why not make these cute commercial rating signs for your party-goers. Kids can get in on the fun too! rating cards

That’s it folks! Our Super Bowl party in 640 words or less. Whatever you choose to do for the big game. Have fun and keep it simple! We wish you a happy and safe Super Bowl Sunday! #KeepPounding!
